Although not the sexiest part of the Orientation Festival, it is still very important!
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday next week the Banking Fair will be continuing. This is your chance to open up a UK student bank account for those who are without one yet. Or if you’re yet to get yourself a special student account, then this will be the perfect opportunity too.
The Fair is in the Old Gym, in the Basement of the Old Building. Just go in the main entrance, go down the stairs on your right, and then turn right at the bottom an you’ll be there.
There are sales assistants giving out information as you enter who will tell you what you need after you’ve chosen the right account for you. Then you can get going on saving (but more likely, spending).
The Banking Fair is NOT a recruitment drive for the banks. That’ll come later on in the year…
As always, get your Festival tickets here! You can also pick them up from the Quad in the East Building tomorrow.
It’s time to get your gladrags on, because LSE’s Raising and Giving Society (RAG) is kick starting the year with the sexiest, most sophisticated, most glamorous Ball, which has a casino twist.
Being held at The Penthouse in Leicester Square, you can truly party in style with 3 floors of fantastic music, some of LSE’s freshest DJ talent, and stunning panoramic views of London from right outside the window. For those first lucky 100 freshers, we are giving away delicious cocktails so get there early to bag your free drink! We have great drinks deals for the night too, with bottles of beer at £2.50, and wine at £3.50 . And dancing isn’t all you’ll be doing as there’ll be a fun-money casino, with roulette and black jack tables. Win yourself a 2 day cruise around Europe, or some fab theatre tickets, or a great meal on RAG! And to capture it all we have a photographer to get snappy whilst you’re dancing the night away in Montecarlo.
Where: The Penthouse, 1 Leicester Square
When: Tuesday 13th October
How much: £15 during Freshers, £20 after Freshers period
